All of my projects begin with a detailed conversation (phone call, text, email) about YOUR vision and budget. We discuss how to make your custom commission unique, something to be cherished forever. I am a DesignerArtist that understands it is my job to guide your vision into an aesthetically pleasing, beautiful reality. I will also give you a quote based on the vision, including estimated tax and shipping.
After our consultation and budget confirmation, with a 50% deposit of the estimated cost, I draw! Using any source images you provide—like pictures of your fluffy pet—I create a digital representation of your custom stained glass work of art. I will edit your drawing until we get the design perfect. Then, you officially approve the concept, design and color palette. The final price will be determined during this stage based on “piece count.”
Once your drawing is approved, I cut glass! Each piece of glass in your unique “puzzle” is carefully cut, ground to shape, foiled (or fit within lead), soldered, then, fit and finished to the highest quality. Fabrication is the longest part of the creation timeline as I enjoy detailed and careful work, while keeping to our agreed upon completion date. I will keep you informed of the progress along the way, and send you photos if you wish!
Once your Stained Glass work of art is complete, I will prepare for shipment (or delivery if local to Seattle, WA). Part of your final balance will include a shipping and boxing charge, plus applicable tax. I will Invoice you for the balance (there shouldn’t be any surprises as we’ve discussed all costs prior) and pending payment, I ship! I will provide tracking information, but I also watch the journey until… ding-dong! Your package has arrived and it’s time for smiles!
